<經文> 馬太福音 24 : 38 – 41

38 當洪水以前的日子，人照常吃喝嫁娶，直到挪亞進方舟的那日；39 不知不覺洪水來了，把他們全都沖去。人子降臨也要這樣。40 那時，兩個人在田裏，取去一個，撇下一個。
41 兩個女人推磨，取去一個，撇下一個。

38 For in the days before the flood , people were eating and drinking , marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark ; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away . That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man . 40 Two men will be in the field ; one will be taken and the other left . 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill ; one will be taken and the other left .  [註] NIV英文聖經是很接近原文的。

★ 是取去或是撇下的得救 ? 從NIV英文聖經中，我們可以得知「沖去」took和「取去」taken是同樣的意思，因此被取去的人和當年被沖去的一樣，乃是受到刑罰的人。
